MARARIKULAM

Introduction to Mararikulam : The village of Mararikulam is tucked away behind a line of dense palms that rise like a sudden rampart of green out of the sands. Like all villages, it has evolved naturally, in picturesque disorder. Mararikulam is sixty kilometers south of Cochin or an hour's drive from Cochin and even less from Alleppey. It is the most fabulous stretch of soft sandy beach fringed with palm. The beautiful, seemingly endless, fine golden sandy beaches are temptation enough, but add this to a good choice of accommodation, fantastic cuisine and friendly locals, and you have an irresistible combination.

Marari originates from "Mararikulam", one of the local fishing villages, where life still goes on much as it did a hundred years ago. Marari offers endless miles of superb sand beaches backed by swaying palms, virgin territory where you can experience the local charm and traditional Keralan hospitality at it's best.
