Location:
The world-renowned Gir forest is the natural habitat of the
Asiatic lion. The Gir National Park and Sanctuary cover an area
of 1400 square kilometers of dry deciduous forest and tropical
thorn forest. The forest is home to carnivores like the leopard,
jungle cat, rusty spotted cat and hyena, which prey on cheetal,
sambhar, four horned antelope, wild boar and hare. Gir is also a
bird watcher's paradise and home to over 200 species of avi-fauna.
The Gir Lodge is located on the periphery of the Gir forest, 65
km from Junagadh railway station and 60 km from Keshod airport.

There are 29 rooms including 2 suites at the Gir Lodge. Standard
Rooms: These elegantly appointed rooms offer guest amenities
like international direct dial facility (on request) and color
television with satellite programs. Attached bathrooms with hot
water facility from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 6.30 p.m. to 10
p.m.
Dipdo Suite: An elegantly appointed one-bedroom suite with a
living room.
Sawaj Suite: A tastefully decorated two-bedroom suite with a
living room
Restaurants & Bars: Hiran
View is the dining room serving Continental and Indian cuisine. Open from
7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

health facilities and services like fitness center, beauty
parlor, and shopping arcade. Arrangements for billiards, tennis,
badminton and table tennis are also there in the lodge.
