Day
01 Delhi Arrive Delhi International airport. Meet assist and
transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, a half day tour of Old Delhi,
includes Red Fort and Jama Masjid. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 02 Jaipur In the morning, a half day tour of New Delhi, the capital designed by Lutyens and characterised by wide, tree-lined avenues and magnificent colonial buildings. Drive past India Gate, the President's Palace and visit the Qutub Minar. In the afternoon drive to Jaipur (5.5 hrs drive). Arrive Jaipur and check into your Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Jaipur. Day 03 Jaipur This morning drive to Amber where you will ride on elephant back to the Fort. En-routedrive by the Palace of the Winds. In the afternoon visit the City Palace & Jantar Mantarthe astronomical observatory. Overnight in Jaipur. Day 04 Agra Drive to Agra (5 hrs drive) via Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city which Akbar built is his capital in the 6th century & abandoned just 15 years later. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Agra. Day 05 Agra In the morning proceed for a half day tour of Agra city, visiting the Taj Mahal , the massive Agra Fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Overnight in Agra. Day 06 Khajuraho Morning at leisure. Later transfer to the airport for your flight to Khajuraho. On arrival in Khajuraho, meet, assistand transfer to your Hotel. Overnight in Khajuraho. Day 07 Khajuraho This morning, a half day tour of the intricately carved erotic sculptures of the Chandela dynasty set in the centre of this small town. Overnight in Khajuraho. Day 08 Varanasi Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Varanasi. Arrive Varanasi, meet, assist and transfer to your Hotel.Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Varanasi. Day 09 Varanasi In the morning drive to Sarnath, where Buddha preached his first sermon. Later explore Varanasi city with its myriad temples and museum. Overnight in Varanasi. Day 10 Delhi Early morning boat ride along the River Ganges & see thefamous bathing 'ghats', where the gathered faithful ritually clean themselves. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Delhi. Overnight Delhi. Day 11 Onward Transfer to the airport to board flight for your onward destination. Khajuraho. |
